PEPITO-Scalable Semiconductor/Superconductor Epitaxial Topological Nanostructures
-
PEPITO is a collaborative research project aiming to develop a scalable and reliable process for fabricating in-plane core-shell nanowires combining semiconductors (SM) and superconductors (SC). The research focuses on materials with strong spin-orbit coupling, such as InAs, HgTe, and BiSb, hybridized with superconductors like Al, Sn, Pb, and Nb to create Majorana Zero Modes (MZMs) for fault-tolerant quantum computing. The project seeks to study topological superconductivity through these advanced hybridized nanostructures.

We contribute to the primary responsibilities of MBE growth and processing. Along with colleagues, we contribute to the selective area growth (SAG) of InAs nanostructures and the epitaxy of superconductor shells, such as Nb and Sn, on these semiconductor nanostructures.
